Medical Receptionist Training Course

Emergency Training For Veterinary Receptionists

November 5 2019 , Written by Michael Brown Published on #Receptionist

Veterinary receptionist training should include not only delivering quality customer service and enhancing office skills and management but it should also include how to handle emergencies. Your receptionist should learn the basics of handling cases that your practice considers an emergency. Some of the top medical problems that many veterinary practices consider an emergency include allergy reactions, collapse, bleeding, heat stroke, seizures, and trouble breathing. When a client calls in regarding a certain situation concerning their pet, it is the job of the receptionist to convince the client to come in immediately so their pet can be given prompt veterinary attention and intervention. There are many cases when clients hesitate to bring their pets in right away because they are unaware of the crisis that their pet is in. With proper training, your receptionist will have confidence in dealing with these cases in an efficient manner.
